Central Michigan University’s School of Medicine challenged us to create multiple simulation products that were better than what they were originally using.  In order to improve their suture training, they wanted a synthetic skin that met all the following requirements:

• Must be able to reuse incision sites for continuous suturing
• Must grip the table and stay stationary (non-slip)
• Must hold a deep suture
• Must have a realistic, tactile feel and look

After nine revisions we finally have a product that will stand the test of time.
